As I mentioned before Raven does not die at the end of her reign but instead vanishes without a trace. Raven had not yet named her successor so it fell to the elder council to choose the next queen and Raven's "sister", Brynie seemed like the obvious choice. However, not only had Brynie been Raven's right hoof in the Valkyrie kingdom, the two had been the best of friends and Brynie's heart broke when Raven disappeared. Despite her reputation as a sweetheart and a beauty, Brynie had been a strong warrior and had loved defending the world against the frost dragons but at 252 years old and having been wounded severely too many times, her days of fighting were over so she could not even find comfort in that. She did her best to be a good queen for two years but it was too much and she had to step down.

Her cutie mark is the rune Wunjo, which means "Joy", and the rune Raido, meaning "journey". Together they represent that at all points in her life, Brynie was able to find joy and contentment. A tragic irony towards the end of her life.
