I wanted to paint some sunset clouds and then Celestia showed up. There's more I could do with it but I'm calling it done for now. And it's probably not dawn but it makes for such a cool title. Points to anyone who knows where it comes from!
I was going to ask if she was going to have a Voyage, but I've been beaten to the punch it seems. Still, the voyage may still involve dragons and really blunt Christian allegories, so that's always a plus! >_<
Love the title!! oh and it's from Narnia (obviously haha) I loved that book!!! This drawing is so pretty too! I love how her face is just so at peace and happy and calm at the same time, and just the way her wings look, and the golden clouds overall, just awesome!
This is lovely! How great would it be to have a scene where Celestia (and maybe Luna, too) just took a moment to fly free, high in the sky away from the cares of the crown?
And I tend toward agreement with your sentiment--Many classic and beloved tales fit just right, and messing around seems as likely to tarnish glory as polish it, rare exceptions notwithstanding.
I'm still mad about the "Dawn Treader" movie disaster, especially--That really took the wind out of my sails, ha! It's further frustrating because I've long believed that a "Horse and His Boy" movie done right could be a contender for one of the greatest films of all time...
Aw man you are a so right!!!! I would have loved to see The Horse and His Boy as an actual good movie!!! I'm pretty sure it's my favorite Narnia book. And yes. Dawn treader was for the most part awful BUT BUT BUT there were bits of it that totally made up for it for me.
